Proficy Change Management is pre-configured to support a variety of commonly used software and devices in the industrial environment, including GE Intelligent Platforms, Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens and many more. It can also manage any file type such as documents, spreadsheets, drawings and more with our easy-to-use Wizard for a complete plant or factory asset management system.

Version Control ensures that only one person at a time is making changes to the system and archives the versions once those changes are made—providing the ability to revert to a previous version.

Because the client is built right into the CIMPLICITY Workbench and the iFIX workspace, you can now manage your HMI/SCADA application quickly and easily. Check out picture files, screens files, or other components, compare versions of screens or configurations, or compare entire projects.
Whats new in Version 5.9
New 'Add Product Wizard' - The new product wizard streamlines the set up of documents and FTP devices, which secures your automation software and reduces system setup time. You can create your own product types by answering a few key questions about the files you want it to manage, and it automatically creates a profile for those file types. It can be used to manage any file type and comes pre-configured with templates for handling of FTP devices such as Robots, Vision Systems, and CNCs, file upload-download for SCADA systems, PC control systems and other file storage systems.
New Web-Based End User Client - The HTML-based client is a thin, easy-to-deploy client with a small footprint that will save you time and effort installing or updating traditional ‘thick’ clients. It also provides easy access to projects on the Change Management server. The client provides access to common end-user functions such as check out, check in, open, version reports, compare and more. The drag-and-drop configuration allows you to easily create a user interface to organize projects and provide customized web pages if desired. The client supports popular third-party products from Rockwell, Siemens, and Schneider, as well as status and compare for Proficy Machine Edition. You can still administer and access older project types via the traditional client. The new client will also work with version 5.7 or 5.8 servers, and can be used in systems with the traditional client.

Also new are several common administrative tools within the thin client that allows you to add projects, configure project properties, add users to projects, configure which groups can access the project, set up email notifications, and edit the navigation tree in the client. It’s simple to use and puts the power of administration at your fingertips.
