PACMotion Introduction

  •  Discuss the features and benefits of PACMotion
•  Identify applications where PACMotion can be used
•  Identify the PACMotion system components
   
  PACMotion System Configuration and I/O Options
  •  Understand overall PACMotion system configuration
•  Understand PACMotion hardware and its configuration options
•  Understand the I/O options supported by the PACMotion module
   
  PACMotion Basics
  •  Understand how to use the PMM Module Status Indicators and Module Status Bits
•  Enable motion axes using the MC_Power function block
•  Read the axis status using the MC_ReadStatus function block
•  Jog an axis using the MC_JogAxis function block
•  Set the motion system position using the MC_SetPosition and MC_Home function blocks
•  Clear errors in the PACMotion module using the MC_ModuleReset function block
   
  Diagnostic Tools
 

•  Understand how to use the PACMotion diagnostic tools, including Axis and Module Errors and Warnings
•  Data Logging   

**Special Instructions
Participants should bring their own laptops loaded with the course-provided Proficy Machine Edition software, or a software-loaded PC will be provided during the course. If you choose to bring your own PC, please contact us for the PC requirements.
