Reactive or Proactive? Don’t Just Learn From Your Mistakes

Our international safety standards have evolved based on analysis and reaction to accidents that have occurred, and we put controls in place when needed.  The good news is that we learn from our mistakes.  These lessons however, are quite costly in terms of productivity and profitability.

Don’t wait for accidents or failures to occur before you make changes to your operations.  Develop a strong understanding of safety standards as well as the equipment controlling your adherence to those standards.

Before problems occur think: Do you know enough about the equipment controlling your processes?
